Super 8 by Wyndham IAH West/Greenspoint

My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I stayed here for proximity to the airport for an early morning flight. My reservation was honored, but, to my surprise, I was asked for a cash security deposit. I'm used to those being on a credit card. Upon check out very early the following morning, I had to wait for the desk clerk to check my room before the cash deposit was refunded. I have stayed in many properties in the U.S. and internationally, and have never experienced that before. I'd have rated my stay higher if not for that. I cannot comment on other amenities, including breakfast, as it was just a short overnight stay.

There were people loitering in front of the hotel. They made me pay a $50 deposit. They wouldn't let m pay with my card. I had to pay in cash. The atm only disbursed in increments of $20. They didn't have chage. "Breakfast " was tiny muffins. That's not Breakfast, that's a snack

Extremely Disappointing Stay – Not Worth Even the Budget Price I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. The room lacked basic amenities—no utensils, no working bedside lights, and the TV didn’t function. When I approached the front desk for help, no one was there. I eventually found a staff member outside who promised to send someone with silverware, but after waiting 30 minutes, nothing arrived. The room phone didn’t work, so I called from my mobile, only to be told rudely to come get it myself. When I reminded him of his earlier promise, he snapped, “This is not a restaurant.” The staff’s attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive throughout. I understand this is a budget hotel, but basic hospitality and functioning amenities are not optional. This was one

Owner lied about my stay and charged me for extra days after I checked out because my room was accessed when I clearly stated I did not want service. . They also make you pay cash for the deposit so there is no paper trail. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
