Super 8 by Wyndham Eureka

Tucker went completely out of his way to help us after we got to the motel and found we were booked in Montana instead of California. He got our reservation canceled and money refunded even though the the reservation in Montana was not refundable. This motel is lucky to have an employee like Tucker.

Great room, I would even pay to make this my apartment… I mean if it was in a better area. Stopped by here on my way to Oregon because of tourist making posts online. Fell for the oldest trick in the book. As soon as I walked outside I could count about 20 homeless people. Go here if strong enough to fight many homeless people.

The guys who work the counter are always nice, I came every Friday in November so far due to picking someone up and they’re always friendly. Rooms are great for the price. They take cash deposit which is the number one reason I go to this location every time. I hate waiting for my money to return so it’s very convenient. -Kerri.

Easy to find right off 101, friendly staff, clean. They had a fridge/freezer/microwave. The chair was very uncomfortable, water pressure low and with low-flow shower head. You had to stay in shower 5x as long to rinse hair. The building is 2 storis with no elevators, |Breakfast was grab and go in office, granola bars, apples, instant oatmeal (would have to take it back to room to fix) juice, cocoa packets, coffee.|Their parking lot wasn't the greatest however.

Positive: Very friendly reception staff. Location: near the old town: several other chain hotels close-by, easy access to places to eat etc. Good old steak/sports bar (AA) 2 blocks. Room: clean, spacious. Quiet during stay - slept well. No room service Saturday. Negative: Breakfast minimal, grab-and-go (I didn't use it anyway). Ice-maker broken. There are panhandlers roaming the area (and the rest of Eureka) but not aggressively. Wi-fi open, limited via entry website passphrase (insecure).
