Inn at 2nd & C

Such a beautifully and comfortably decorated Victorian hotel. Everywhere you looked were mementos of the past, yet it was not over done. I felt like if I looked hard enough, I might see a woman come down the stairs, dressed to the nines in her Victorian style clothing. The staff here are very accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast served in the front parlor on china plates and real coffee mugs was a great and relaxing way to start each morning. We were here for a friend‘s wedding reception that was held in the downstairs ballroom. It was a beautiful and again comfortable venue. We will definitely be back!

Loved this place! ||Charming, romantic and lovingly restored Victorian inn. The room was cozy and perfectly Victorian but with all needed modern amenities. The Inn is right at the end/beginning of Old Town Eureka, which is full of charming shops and restaurants. We always felt perfectly safe in the area. We felt that the pricing made it a good value, that the place was clean, and that every single employee we encountered was smart, kind and helpful.||The yoga/meditation room was lovely and a real bonus.

By any normal set of standards, this hotel would get one star. Before I offer the upsides that warrant 5 stars, let's review downsides because many of you should not stay here: - Eureka itself is a dump, and unless you like dive bars, corned beef, comedy clubs, and history, you should probably stay somewhere else on your road trip. - This block is rough, with a men's shelter across the street. - Room service is "upon request." - The Carver House and Pinc Lady offer more charm with less riff-raff. OK, now that the rest of you are at the Best Western in Arcata, let's review the upsides: - The Eagle House drips with the timber baron history of the Humboldt coast - One of the best restaurants in town, Gallagher's, and best bars, Phatsy Kline's, are in house. - Other great spots like steakho

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while we explored the Redwoods Forest on our honeymoon. I highly recommend this being a place to stay! This inn is spectacular and went above our expectations. We understood that we were going to be staying in a historic town and historic building, but we were blown away by how well-maintained and clean our room was. We stayed in a large suite and felt like we were staying inside a museum. The staff are helpful and welcoming. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. I felt safe walking around, just watch your surroundings, and no one bothered us while we were walking around the town.

Had a truly lovely stay at this beautiful Inn. Our room was so pretty and comfortable. It had both Victorian charm and modern amenities. Every single staff member we encountered was smart, kind and helpful, taking care of all of our needs. Despite what some others have said, we thought the location ideal: easy walking to the most interesting shopping and restaurants in town. We always felt safe and secure. Highly recommended for your visit to Eureka/Arcata!
