Carter House Inns & Restaurant 301

We had the best Valentine’s/anniversary getaway at Carter House Inns. The Valentine’s package was such a sweet touch; chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne were waiting in our room when we arrived, and the jacuzzi tub made it feel extra special and relaxing. The 6-course Valentine’s dinner at Restaurant 301 was incredible, we loved every single bite, and breakfast each morning was just as delicious. The staff was so kind and welcoming, and the location is perfect with plenty to do nearby. We also appreciated being able to bring our dog along. Such a special stay all around. Definitely 5 stars!

Fun and upscale hotel in Eureka, totally unexpected. Really enjoyed our stay, definitely would stay again. Highlights included the restaurant and bar open with vouchers when we arrived that made the end of our long journey so much easier. ||||The room (204) was really comfortable and even though they don’t call it ADA, it is ADA enough for my needs! The coffee maker was excellent. (a top priority!) And the toiletries in the bathroom were appreciated. Our only comment on the room was that it was warm and hard to cool off. Room controlled Thermostat seems to not be a thing there. But it was fine. ||||Breakfast the next morning was included and was fantastic downstairs. A lovely place to stay. We stayed in a double queen room and had plenty of space. Very comfortable beds and a nice room. We had lots of coffee pods in our room which I really appreciate. The breakfast was delicious and the buffet choices were very tasty. The friendly staff are a credit to the hotel and they make you feel welcome. My only gripes would be that I prefer full size products for shampoo and bodywash rather than sharing a small tube. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

We arrived on October 19th and departed on October 25th, we were impressed by the location, the outside façade, the rooms, the dining area, the area to sit down and associate with other people, the small bar which was very intimate, the food which was excellent. We loved it. When we get back to Eureka, we'll be happy to stay there. The people who were working there were excellent. Liz, Amber, Jamie, Diana Sarah, Ian(bartender few days) and the manager TROY were accommodating and wonderful people. I'm sure I've missed a few names, but the staff was very accommodating. The staff were so friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was beyond amazing and way more than we expected, we actually had a hard time picking because everything looked so good! The quiche was delicious, and the fresh juices were such a nice touch to keep you energized and feeling good. Our room was super clean and comfortable, and we loved ending the day at the bar after long walks through the redwoods. It was the perfect way to relax after exploring. Overall, this place was perfect, great food, great people, and such a cozy vibe. We can’t wait to come back!
