Eureka California

Beautiful area redwoods, Sequoia s, amazing zoo with a sky walk through the forest. Driving and views are so gorgeous. Ppenty of unique restuarants, stores and second hand and antique stores. The cancer resale store has and amazing selection, extremely clean and presentation of displays are so wonderful. People are friendly and helpful with questions. Many art centers and museums to see. Hiking and biking are great here.

The location is good to explore Eureka or the Redwoods but the park was a little close to the highway and you had to cross this to get out of the park and into Eureka. ||The cabin we had was basic but well kept and all we needed. The matresses weren't very comfortable and we were only given a thin blanket when we had paid $10 extra for linen. ||The communal showers and bathrooms were clean and had good water pressure. ||There was a lot of noise from people arguing outside the cabin next door on our first night but the reception area wasn't open early or late so we had noone to talk to about this as we were out all day exploring. ||The wifi was not worth the hassle.

Nice campground with quaint cabins, accommodates RVs, playground for kids, clean facilities, and showers. However, the tent sites are right on top of each other separated only by a four foot section of lattice on either side. Thank goodness we were the only tent otherwise I don't think we would have stayed. It is right next to Hwy 101 so road noise was bad in a tent. Had to sleep with ear plugs in and could still hear the hwy. A little pricier for a tent site than what I usually pay while vacationing but I guess that is Cali and Hwy 101 for you!

This used to be a KOA campground and is in the process of being converted and updated. EVERYTHING is under construction, from the office to the children's play area to the bathrooms. ||We were in a far end RV site and the wi-fi was non-existent. Judging by the number of people gathered by the office at various hours, however, I'd guess that the wi-fi is poor across the park. Had our per-night cost been discounted for construction (and general disrepair while things are being upgraded), it would have been an OK experience.||Location is decent, but campground is really close to Highway 1 and tucked behind a pretty ugly industrial spot.

Make a booking for my spouse and his brother who were travelling through on their bicycles. They reported back that the motel six was nice and clean and close to everything. They walked to several stores and restaurants very close by. Shower was hot beds were cozy. All in all they very much enjoyed their stay.
