Super 8 by Wyndham Escanaba

The pool and hot tub have been out of service for what seems like forever now. This hotel has potential, but I don't know if they're going to pull out of the Free Fall of all the amenities not working. I will say that on their TVs at least in the room that I stayed in I had access to apps like YouTube which was really cool and different from other hotels I've stayed at. I mostly watch YouTube over tv, so this was a great feature, but they've got to get that pool and hot tub up and running. If I'm paying for the amenities I expect to have the amenities available, and for the hot tub to be out of service for this long is completely unacceptable. I don't know if there's even plans to fix it or what's wrong with it, and you only find out that the pool is out of service after booking reservatio

6 week of being housed here and it went from feeling well worth it but slowly service only came when I went and asked for specific items for my room as well as the breakfast room was almost entirely u stocked with anything aside from stale dry muffins and candied cereal bar's and I became comfortable eating oatmeal. Besides that the wifi worked perfectly where I was at least located in the back and the employees were wonderfully polite and welcoming

Hotel isn't new but well maintained. Very reasonable pricing, wifi, nice TV, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Our bathroom door was sticky (didn't close or open easily) but everything was clean and the room was very comfortable. The price was very reasonable and the staff was extremely good. Breakfast included fresh waffles, fruit, cereal, sausage egg biscuits, bagels, bread for toast, muffins, milk, juice and coffee. Our stay was very quiet and we slept well. They have an indoor pool but we didn't use it. We think they also had a hot tub. A bargain. I thought I might have left an item in the room. I called and they called me back in 20 minutes after checking with housekeeping. I DIDN'T leave anything but they were glad to check and call me right back. Good staff!

Positive: Front desk staff was very pleasant while checking in. Negative: Room was kind of musty smelling. Breakfast was a joke. Fine if you want cereal, bagel, muffins or a waffle. The only protein was low fat yogurt. There was fresh fruit also. Most of the hotels in this area are on busy streets, you typically don’t hear it

Rooms are very clean, staff was very helpful. Our A/C unit was broken, the front desk manager immediately arranged for a new room for us.
