Magnuson Grand Pioneer Inn and Suites

My husband and I thought this was a great location for the hotel and it looked great, but it is not in any way handicap accessible. I had a surgical boot on one foot and had to trek up and down the stairs checking in and out as well as to get to the restaurant onsite for dinner.|The rooms were clean but could use updating.

I was in a room that had not been renovated. It was very clean, just dated and rough around the edges. I would say the carpet was old and kinda dirty. The security chain on the door was broke. (This is a very important fix, speaking as a woman staying by herself. ) the rest of the hotel was quaint and comfortable. Staff was excellent. I started to eat at the restaurant, but the staff seemed more concerned about talking amongst themselves than serving customers. I just left without ordering. Not a deal breaker, but some customer service training might be helpful. Will stay again.

I wish I had came here first!! I spent 3 nights in a name brand hotel and then they didn’t have the fourth night available!! I came here and the staff was so nice and when I got to my room, I was just floored! This room was absolutely beautiful! If I ever have to come back up this way, I will know 100% where to stay and the bed was so comfortable!!

Positive: Nice in-room jacuzzi tub plenty big for two. The room was a very generous size. The pool was nice as well. Negative: The overall interior of the hotel is quite dated. It is nice and kept up well, but you feel like you’re walking into a nice hotel room in 1990. Breakfast was quite lean. Protein sources limited to sugary yogurt and cold boiled eggs. Nothing served hot.

Clean property and good Italian Restaurant attached to it. Check in was smooth but requested first floor due to injury. At booking g when I ask about an elevator they said that a first floor room would be no problem. They had none and definitely no elevator. Hall way was dim. 2 large amazing towels were provided in king size room. Some kind of “room” coffee and open styrofoam cups were available. We did not have breakfast, but have noticed, more hotels are offering prepackaged “grab and Go” options. All in all I rate this a 3 out of 5 stars.
