Super 8 by Wyndham Chambersburg I-81

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. The indoor heated pool and hot tub was nice. Con’s: Breakfast was spotty and slim at best when it was available on time. Room had an odor and there was a roach. Stained towels. Rooms could use an updating, had carpet stains and was peeling up in some spots. Overall, not bad for the price on booking, not my first choice if I can afford something nicer.

This was a terrible experience. The only good part of the whole stay was the check in as the lady who checked me in was very polite and pleasant. ||||Unfortunately, the room was horrendous, and if it wouldn't have been for being so exhausted, I would have checked out and went elsewhere. The room had no trash can, the tub was filthy and had dirtt everywhere, the carpets were heavily stained, the bed's head stains all over the covers and blankets, and worst of all, in the most major fire hazard was that the sprinkler heads were covered with plastic grocery bags.||||When I checked out the gentleman at the front desk was more interested in his cellphone conversation than checking out me as a guest, and when I asked for a receipt, I had to explain how to do it because of booking through

Positive: nothing Negative: On the 2nd stay, the male cleaning person walked into my room w/out knocking. When I checked in, the lady failed to inform me of the fee for my service animal, which resulted in a male clerk hassling me about the fees. And they kicked us out, no refund.

It was a good stay for the night. I got the coupons from. The welcome center. So that was nice. They need to do some painting and a little bit more rug cleaning. Otherwise it's not bad. Oh and the Housekeeping staff needs to was the walls more and please look behind the door.

I booked at Super8 Chambersburg because I had stayed there before many years ago. Little did I know Super8 and the Comfort Inn has switched names. So I actually had stayed at what is now the Comfort Inn. But anyhow, Super8 on Black Gap Road is cheap and if all u need is a room and don't mind a roach or 2 then this is your place. I was mortified that I was sharing the bathroom with a roach. I took it to the front desk and the lady cringed. I asked for a % off my bill. She stated she would need to talk with the manager. I've worked in a hotel before and my manager would have been in contact with that guest asap. But apparently I worked at a finer establishment.
