MainStay Suites Chambersburg

Hotel is newly renovated.Gym and Pool areas are still pending. Staff is friendly and desk is covered 24 hours. Offers full breakfast and coffee all day. Area very busy, and hotel is an extended stay/pet friendly so you have a diverse group of clients l. But for the price with the renovation you cannot get a better hotel in this area. Star ratings are accurate.

When I arrived about 11:00 p.m. to check in there was no one at the desk. I had to wait for about 10 minutes and someone showed up. He was very friendly and helpful. Other than that, it's been a nice day. The room is very clean. It looks like it's just been redone. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom in great shape. Location is great. A restaurant right next door. Lots of stores around and right on route 81. A great place to stay for a few days while in town!

we stayed for the local uprise festival and for the price and what we received, it was perfect. awesome breakfast with sausage, eggs, waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, muffins, english muffins, toast, some great juices and coffee. i highly recommend this hotel! it was like a studio apartment and had a full fridge and even a cook top. the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. they allowed us to check in early for a fee and were very kind to us. the only issue i’d say was the odd smell in our room/hallway but that’s because i’m sure other people we’re cooking in their rooms. other hotels in shippensburg close to the uprise festival were gauging prices (over double the amount) but this hotel stayed the same price. exactly what we needed and will stay here again when we come back for ne

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was great. Rooms overall were good. The beds were very comfortable. Affordable choice when travelling to the area. Would stay again next time I am in the area.

I was very disappointed with our two night stay. Additional family members also booked this hotel and had the same issues with their rooms. Upon entering the kitchen and into the room, our lamp on the counter was unplugged. (due to the outlet was half covered by the furniture and unable to use the plug) the room was dark. We had the kitchen lights on all the time. We were in town for a wedding reception. I had ONE hanger. We had No tissues, No coffee pot, No iron, No toaster, No mini bath essentials, and least of my worries... No wash basket. Seriously! I mentioned all this to the front staff. I was told that the Chambersburg location does not have to meet the standards of the Corporate Choice Hotels. I was dismissed, no concern, no apologies. I will NEVER stay at a Mainstay Suites again.
