Super 8 by Wyndham Carlsbad

Our room is extremely clean and comfortable. And smelled good.. Very nice! Host was professional and kind. Bed is firm but comfortable. I recommend staying here. Not sure why the reviews are low or why people are fussing. It’s just fine unless you prefer a “soft” bed.

Worst Super 8 in the world. Better to sleep in your car than here. Everything is broken, nothing works. No breakfast provided, but advertises "Free breakfast". Rudest customer service.

If you’re thinking about staying here because the website says they offer breakfast, don’t. We came downstairs hoping for at least a cup of coffee, only to be told, “No, we’re remodeling.” Funny how the remodeling didn’t stop them from advertising it, though. Maybe the website is under construction too? The beds? Imagine sleeping on a wooden plank wearing a sheet as a blanket. That’s the vibe. I’ve had more comfortable naps in my car. There’s no elevator, so get ready for a stair climbing workout you definitely didn’t sign up for, especially fun if your knees are held together by hopes and prayers. Positive: Location. Nothing else. Negative: Didn't have breakfast, room not clean, had to wash my feet to put on socks after walking on the floor. Bath tub was peeling. Stains on the bedding, cover and side. Sheets seamed to be clean. Housekeeping came into room with do not disturb sign out.

Customer service was non existent!!! The washer did not drain. Had to hand wring all clothes before putting in dryer. I told manager, he said it happens when washer is overloaded. Told him not true as I had less than half a load. Returned back to check on dryer 40 min later. Clothes still very wet. Paid an aaditiobal $2 for another cycle. Checked again after 40 min. Still very wet. Dryer not hot. Packed up to take to laundromat. Told manager. All he said was not his problem that they don’t own machines and don’t make money from it. I said the very least you can do is put out of order sign, so others don’t also waste their money. I checked the next day, still no sign. Just pissed me off how cavalier he was. Kept telling me nothing he could do and basically not his probl
