Super 8 by Wyndham Alexandria MN

Nice. Room was nice. Price was nice. Manager was Super nice. Nice complementary breakfast. The only thing that was not nice about this place was the location, an utterly bleak, frozen aglomeration of strip malls just off I-94. Should anyone ever find themselves stranded in Alexandria, MN in the middle of winter, I definitely recommend they seek shelter at this nice Super 8.

Positive: The manager was happy to find me a room to ensure that I had the best rest possible Negative: The location and layout of the hotel. The 2 story hotel was sandwiched between 2 parking lots and no mater where your room was located, you faced a parking lot. The noise of loud vehicles wakes me and keeps me awake. No elevator to 2nd floor.

I’ve never in my life wrote a review for ANYWHERE. I am a 19 year old who was driving home for thanksgiving, the roads were completely horrible by the time I got to Alexandria. When getting my room I was met with the most divine service. Amazing manager and front desk worker. Thank you Rebecca and I didn’t catch the front desk lady’s name but for accommodating to me and being absolutely amazing. I have never EVER booked a hotel without the help of my parents and these lovely ladies helped me out entirely. Felt very at home and everything here is amazing. Next to an assortment of amenities as well (Target, McDonald’s, etc.). Absolutely will be coming back I wish I could keep writing. My entire thanksgiving week was made and I am thankful for Super 8’s amazing hospitality.

This is the best room we’ve had of any that we’re not five star. Everything in the room worked everything was an excellent condition. It was super clean. The front desk was super friendly and breakfast was as breakfast goes one of the best continental.

The room did smell like smoke but they were fine. Not great, not horrible. But the breakfast was GREAT! AND EXCELLENT STRONG FLAVORFUL COFFEE! That is what is most important. The rooms were fine, bedroom and pillows OK, but, the coffee..... that's why I rated them better then 3 stars. Good job folks. 😋😁
