Lake Victoria Resort

The location was great. The owner was pleasant. There is no sign where the office is for check in. The fish cleaning shack was very dirty dirty socks and trash laying around. The boat ramp is small and very steep. The cabin was very clean and had most things you may need. The bed was hard as a brick. We were in the green cabin. There are no written instructions about wifi or check in or out or whether you take out your trash. Helpful hints for welcome sheet in cabin( there is free wood for campfire, where the fish cleaning shack is and a number to manager if help is needed. We did have some trouble with our boat trailer and was able to leave it up on the hill near owners home. So for the most part it is great for view and the price was not bad. Owner just needs to improve on communication

If you want to fish, you'll feel right at home. If you’re expecting spa, hot tub, room service, and maids...it isn't here. There's no other place I'd want to be based on MY interests: peace, quiet, nature, indoor plumbing, wifi, TV.

We stayed in the Hilltop house with another family, 10 total. 4 adults, 6 kids. Cabins have wifi, mini kitchens, and bathrooms.||The owners live on the property so they are around if you need them. ||You can bring your boat but FYI Nate, one owner, will drive it down and put it in the water as it's a steep hill and turn. There are enough docks for each cabin to bring a boat.|Because of the hill it's not conducive for kids bike riding around which was really the only thing we didn't like.||My husband said he fished all over the lake but they caught the most fish 20 feet off the dock.||There's a communal firepit and small play structure & sand beach. We were traveling and it was the perfect one night stop for us. Rented a cabin fully furnished with kitchen. Beautiful view of the lake. Raj was very friendly and met with us to see if anything else we needed.

Owners are very accommodating and there is ample dock space as well. Cabin are a bit dated but have that up north mom and pop feel for sure! Beds are not top of the line but a simple mattress enhancer of your choice from home mixed with the fresh air and long summer lake days make for a great night's sleep. Lake has good fishing and is usually not too crowded. We always catch something. Not too far away from town to grab groceries and supplies too.
