Sun Retreats Lake Josephine

We had a reservation booked well in advance, but 24 hours before arrival I noticed the dates had been changed. When I called reservations the next morning, they confirmed I had originally booked the correct dates, but someone else had been placed in our spot after extending their stay. As a result, we were moved to a different site and our reservation was changed without any communication to us. It ultimately worked out, but having to call in a panic to figure out what happened was extremely frustrating. A simple phone call or email would have made a big difference. As for the resort itself, I unfortunately wouldn’t recommend it. The property felt run-down and didn’t have a true “resort” atmosphere. Most improved RV park around. We have came a long ways in the last 2 1/2 years there is still a lot of improvement. They are working on. They also trying to put in basketball goals plus other things for the kids to do. This park is a family park, but also we have all kinds of visitors, business and everything comes in here. We have met some great people in the last two and a half years, looking forward to see who else comes in this park that we can meet and stay in touch with.

Was there a year ago and just now again decided to see if this was a place where I'd like to purchase one of the mobile homes that are for sale by the waterfront. Complete fail when I saw the type of people that have recently moved there, smell of a bad smoky substance in the bathrooms, some people looked smelled and acted like they were on drugs. The laundry room was full and people were complaining that the machines had not been emptied for a day or more. Weird sexual and drug activity in the bathrooms and doors were missing. After driving around I noticed the lack of care for the actual pads. The pads being occupied the lawns were not serviced, but the pads that were empty were serviced, the lawns were cut. I am a resident in Lake Josephine RV resort. Julio is our manager and has done a wonderful job.

We have been at Sun Retreat for the last 2 1/2 years and we have seen so many great changes and plenty more to come. This is a family park! So bring the family and let's go enjoy some barbecue and pool time. We will see you when you get here.
