Summit Lake Campground

Great spot for a hike around the lake. You have great views of Mount Lassen from the back side of the lake. There is parking available for day use and the trail is pretty easy.

Nice campsite, fairly close to the beautiful summit lake. You get awesome views of the lake if you take a full round around it.

Camped at both North and South campground. South was very nice, pretty shaded, and quieter in my opinion. We stayed right next to the lake and it was amazing. Our site was fairly sloped though and not the best for tenting. North was much flatter but we were back a bit from the lake. All sites have fire rings and you can collect downed wood for fires which beats paying $11 for a box at the camp store. No electric, only water spigots around the campground. Worked out pretty good though.

Campground next to the marvellous lake. A small and relaxing picnic spot in the area with a bunch of tables and bonfire / barbeque place

IMO north campground is slightly better than the south campground campgrounds
