So we came to BATL Ranch RV Resort campground because of the amenities they advertise on your website. We came on thanksgiving day because we thought how nice would it be in a warm jacuzzi with a glass of wine watching the sun go down. We actually detoured from our straight down the 30 route to Waco for the amenities. Even though the daily fee is $20 more than the other parks we looked at before we chose BATL Ranch RV Resort. We knew today was a holiday, but the website said nothing about being closed. We tried to call a number of times to be sure everything was good before we arrived. We drove almost 40 minutes out of our planned route to come stay here and enjoy the Jacuzzi. So when we arrived there was nothing anywhere stating the park was closed. In fact, we spoke with the “camp Host”
I have been going here for about 10 years! It has always been a really quiet and beautiful place to camp. There is only one full hookup left over from the past when they had two hosts. The area is central to a lot of Trout Fishing. I would have to say that it has always been more of a Senior Persons Camping Area. Lately, younger tent campers are here and things are changing. It is noisier and people seem to lose their children and dogs a lot because they don't know or just don't follow the rules. I have always recommended this camp to my friends. Now and I am reluctant to do so. The campground has really become run down over the ten years that I have experienced because it is not maintained like it should be. The Government does not know how to make a profit so I assume they don't
This was a surprising gem and not only had a campground but a day use area as well. Not sure how it faired in the recent fire but when we were there it was absolutely beautiful. Great fishing and some nice swim holes. I would come here to camp in the future.
This was great campground! Me and my daughter arrived a couple days before my husband got there and the camp host Jon when out of his way to help anytime we asked which I know wasn'tapart of his job. He was very friendly and joked with everyone there everyday. The campground and bathrooms were will taken care. The Creek is right by the campground which makes for perfect swimming and fishing. I cannot wait to go back!
We usually camp this site every year, but last year not cause covid but this year we did our first trip and the available restrooms are just gross in this heat and there not stalkin fish at the creek or a line. And id like to mention the noise after ten. I understand wanting to have fun but people were rally loud after 10 and camp host could have cared less! Nice folks but only come around a couple times a day.. maybe next trip will be better...
