South Summit Lake Campground

We had a beautiful experience. Camped with a view of the lake. Campsites are close to one another so having noisy neighbors could ruin a night.

Quieter than the North campground. Great layout in the D loop, and some for multiple families in all the loops. Toilets are very clean. Short walk to the lake. Good night viewing spots of the Milky Way.b

Beautiful surroundings, went for many walks around the area. Definitely be back. The animals in the campground are persistent, the will go in the firepit, bear locker, on the table, in your car. Be sure to keep things shut and closed.

This campground is very nice. Saw stars at night, no light pollution whatsoever. Also, you will spot and hear many different birds.

Kind of a sad little campground. Everything around here is burnt. There's no running water so wash your hands at the lake. Also lake isn't stocked so there's no fish. Only book here if you have nothing else and just need a place to crash. Recommend the other campgrounds.
