Lassen Mineral Lodge

Stayed at the 1 Queen bed room. It's nice and cozy and cleanish. Washroom and shower are separate and located next to each other. Shower was very small and felt crammed for space. Wi-Fi is only in the restaurant and not in the rooms, which was very surprising. It got pretty cold during our stay and the portable heater wasn't enough for two people unfortunately. The 2 ladies in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Awesome service! Overall considering the price of other places in the area and the location, its worth a night's stay.

This is a basic motel with clean rooms, friendly proprietors, although a bit tired looking. The best thing about it is that it is family run with the staff all being related in someway. We try to stay in and patronize as many family run businesses as possible and have not been disappointed in the effort and service we receive. This motel is about 20 minutes outside Lassen Volcanic National Park. While there is no air conditioning, it was cool enough in the evening that it was not a problem. We stayed in the rooms to the left as you face the motel. Outside each room there were two chairs and a small table. It made for a comfortable retreat to enjoy a glass of wine and conversation. Great place to stay a night or two for quick access to the southwest entrance to Lassen Volcanic National Park. The motel is right next to a country store and a restaurant. Great value, rooms were decent for the price. The restaurant staff are polite and considerate. We lost power for a few hours in the evening, so had to eat dinner under lantern light at the restaurant, but it wasn't too bad. Would visit again.

We stayed 2 nights and had a nice stay. Check-in is at the restaurant in the buildings next to the lodge rooms. The room was clean and had a table for 2 people; 2 additional comfortable chairs besides the table chairs; and a nice sized mini fridge. There are a couple of padded chairs and small table outside the entrance to the room to enjoy the view. There is no coffee pot in the room and the store and restaurant opened at 8 AM, so keep that in mind for your morning caffeine needs. The employees were super friendly, even lending us an air pump to inflate our low car tire. The location is great for visiting Lassen Volcanic National Park, only about 15 minutes from the south entrance. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the park.

This review is for the restaurant. We like the ambiance. The staff were really nice. The food came out quickly. The elk burger was pretty good. The trout was really fresh, but needs a little more seasoning for my taste. The jalapeño poppers were okay. Overall, we had a satisfactory experience.
