Unfortunately, this campground did not meet expectations. The electrical service was unreliable and appeared to have low voltage, which made running basic appliances difficult. The Wi-Fi was also extremely slow and inconsistent, making it impractical for anything beyond very basic use. The campsite was quite tight, offering little privacy. The surrounding area appears to include a number of long-term residents, and some sites and common areas felt cluttered and poorly maintained. The dumpster was frequently overflowing during our stay. Noise was also an issue. There was frequent loud language from nearby sites, and a large dog chained nearby barked whenever we walked past. Because of the noise and close quarters, it wasn't very enjoyable to sit outside or use the grill. Overall, this

I’ve stayed at Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park for three winters now, and I keep coming back — not because it’s perfect, but because for the price and the location, it works for me. This is an older, economy park with a lot of character, and it’s important to know what you’re booking. Some of the park’s quirks are no big deal for certain travelers and dealbreakers for others. One of the biggest positives is the old-Florida feel. The park is heavily shaded with large, mature trees, and the overall look is very individualized rather than uniform. That said, the roads are sand, and there are no concrete pads — you’re parking directly on sand. The sites are small, with tight spacing when awnings are extended, and vehicles are typically parked in front of the RV. There are no restrictions on ca

We give Sugarmill Ruins a five-star review! We were traveling from Little New Smyrna Speedway with a 40-foot motorhome and a 24-foot trailer and needed propane. We gave them a call, and Kathie in the office was absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and reassuring. She invited us in and let us know there was plenty of room to get turned around, which made a huge difference for a rig our size. We arrived at a beautiful, well-laid-out facility, got our propane quickly and easily, and were back on the road in no time. Excellent service, great communication, and a stress-free experience. Highly recommend!

We just left the SMR Travel Park and I’m compelled to submit a review. This is our first stay at this park and we will definitely return. The roads are dirt as well as most sites but nice foliage. Very attractive and foliage keeps the dust down. Trees that aren’t palms are pruned well along the roads so my class A paint really appreciated it. This whole area is still recovering from flooding due to the hurricane but It appears that there are new sites being added and renovations still in the works. Lastly, the pool and bar look great. Wish we had the weather to use them. ||We messed up our reservation leaving us one day short, including getting some deliveries we were expecting. The staff did not freak out and although full, found us a spot and even called us on the expected deliveries. Ka

Very crowded park and very tight. Hodge podge of campers. The service was very good but they need to clean the place up as it looks like a free for all. Totally disorganized. It’s unfortunate because it could be a great place but they need to space out the sites and some serious maintenance. We had a big rig and had to go out the same way as coming in as there was no way we could continue around and not scratch or take something out by swinging our back end trying to turn. We stayed one night and was enough for us.
