Black Dolphin Inn

Extremely courteous and helpful staff from booking through checkout! We enjoyed the included breakfast and option to have it in our room. I would have preferred it to be served on plates vice a to-go container though. Diminished the presentation of what was a good breakfast overall. Follow through on a couple of items was a bit less than I would expect for the price and reputation. The coffee pot in our room did not work and was reported to staff. I was given the impression it would be replaced, but that never happened. Additionally, we did not get housekeeping service during our stay. We didn’t need much, but it would have been nice to at least have the option for fresh towels, toiletry restocking and light tidying of the room. Again, that is an expectation I had based on the price point

Black Dolphin Inn delivers the rare combination of boutique charm and truly professional hospitality. The property is tasteful, serene, and impeccably maintained. Our room was extremely clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. Everything felt intentional rather than generic. Service was consistently excellent: warm, responsive, and proactive with recommendations. The setting is peaceful while still being very convenient to the beach and local spots in New Smyrna Beach. Breakfast was also a highlight. Fresh, high quality, and a great start to the day. If you’re looking for a refined, quiet, adult-friendly stay that feels personal (not corporate), this is it. We’d return without hesitation.

We loved the Inn!! My Sister and I stayed at the Black Dolphin Inn two nights to take a break between the holidays. Our room was large and beautiful- we could see dolphin jumping from our balcony! The made-to-order breakfasts were delicious. Everyone was very nice!! The Inn is located in a beautiful neighborhood - it was quiet and close to restaurants, shops and the beach. See you next visit!

Positive: A beautiful place located on the intercoastal. Reception area is inviting, receptionist gave me a tour around the property. Took me to my room, familiarized me with the amenities. Room was very nice and clean, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast awsome Negative: ""

Recently had a two night stay at the Black Dolphin. Woke up two mornings to dolphins feeding across the street in the Indian River which we viewed from our 2nd floor balcony enjoying fresh hot coffee. Enjoyed hot breakfast each morning meeting other couples staying at the Black Dolphin. A very relaxing environment that far surpassed any hotel stay.
