Suburban Studios North Charleston I-526

I stayed at this hotel two days on New Years Eve and Day. I wasn't sure what to expect after reading many of the reviews. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The two gentlemen that were at the check in desk for the duration of my stay were very nice. The gentlemen said they had done a complete remodel of the hotel. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable. The amenities in the room were a refrigerator, 2 burner stove and sink. I especially liked that all surfaces were granite it made clean-up when I spilled water very easy. The only concern for me was that the blanket and bedspread smelled like it had not been washed. It smelled like body odor. I would suggest after someone stays to wash these each time. The location was great. Close to a major highway. Food Lion, CVS and a

The staff was not friendly.The towels were dingy, and dirty and they only gave us one towel each and they knew we staying for 3 nights. The phone in the room didn't work, they turned off the hot water in the sink and the tank cover on the toilet was too large and it actually fell off the tank. I didn't see any hotel staff other than desk clerk. Now I see why the rate was so reasonable, you truly get what you pay for

This was the worst motel I’ve been too. The toilets had strains of feces from the previous person. The bed sheets had blood and holes in them. They didn’t have a door chain either for the door. Definitely did not feel safe what so ever. Also they had mold in the vents and mildew in the shower. Plus there was no trash can, but seems like the workers already treat the room as a trashcan it self.

Booked a room for 6 days. Wanted to check out on the 4th day because I couldn't get anyone to pick up my trash and had a hard time getting clean towels and toilet paper. Mgmt told me that the policy by Choice Hotel is that I would not receive a refund for the 2 days I had left on reservation. Choice membership told me that it was up to the property/mgmt on whether or not I could get a refund and not them. Trash is piling up outside my door, under the stairwell from other guests. No trash cans to even place the trash. It's up to me to find housekeeping to get new towels and I leave early in the morning and they're not around when I get back. I do not recommend this place

We enjoyed our stay. Although there was some renovation going on (we could tell our room had been recently done) the room was very clean and smelled fresh. Great location. The only improvement I would suggest is cable and WiFi
