Suburban Studios Minneapolis Brooklyn Center

Positive: Not much staff was very rude to me and my room was not cleaned at all. There was dried up pee on the toilet and the fridge and freezer were very nasty Negative: Lots staff was rude, room was not cleaned at all. Very disgusting took some pictures

We stayed Suburban Studios Minneapolis / Brooklyn Center. We found out pretty quick Brooklyn Center was not an ideal area. We reserved a room for two nights, September 5th and checking out on September 7th 2025. Only stayed one night. This hotel was disgusting! Lobby floor was dirty! Candy wrappers, litter, and dirt in the corners. The lobby floor was in desperate need of a vacuum and mopping. The elevator and second floor hallway reeked of marijuana.The front desk clerk was nice and tried to be accommodating. I think he was trying to do housekeeping chores as well as managing front desk tasks. The room was not clean. The toilet bowl was black. The shower/tub faucet dripped and it had a ring around the tub floor. Floors were in desperate need of mopping. Furniture was in poor condition dre

TV didn't work. First attempt to move to a different room thwarted by non-working lock on door. Second attempt was to a room with a strong smell. Elected to just stay in the first room, since we were busy except for sleeping in the room, but the room options just don't encourage me to recommend the hotel to friends.

I wish I had read these reviews before I booked. This has to be the very worst place that I've ever stayed in. The only thing in the room was one single bath towel, not even a plastic or paper cup, I had to go to reception to get one. It was dirty, lacked any sort of maintenance and once had a towel rail on the bathroom wall, which had fallen off and never n=been replaced. When I checked in, the clerk demanded a $100 damage deposit which he said would be refunded when I checked out, of course it was not and I even called the police. I've still not received the $100 back and I will be calling my bank to report this fraud and making a claim in the small claims court, after all, there was nothing in the room that you could possibly damage. Horrible staff and hotel. !! Please do not stay here. Dirty rooms and no proper towels provided, you have to ask. (I did not personally book this hotel someone booked it for me) if I could’ve gotten a refund and rebooked I would have. There is a $100 refundable deposit required. I will never stay here again!
