Suburban Studios Cary - RDU Airport

Stayed here for a night after a Carolina Hurricanes game. Drove from Connecticut. No issues, quick food around the area. Room was clean, kitchen included electric stove for those who might cook more than me. Simple. Peaceful. Quiet. 10 minute uber ride to Lenovo Center.

I don’t leave reviews. Ever. But this place is something else. Aside from having zero lights on in the lobby during check-in - the toilet seat in the room I stayed in was broken. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not operational and hanging out of the wall. The mirror in the room was cracked. Countless stains on the disgusting rug in the room. Linens were stained. Holes in the wall. The hallway smelled like fried fish. The room smelled musty and the latch lock was broken entirely leaving only the deadbolt. Kind of a shame given the quality of the other businesses in the area.

The room was Not Clean and I was Charged twice for the same room. When I got to the hotel I explained to the desk clerk that I had paid in my Choice member app as I am a Platinum member and she changed my card anyway. When I called and the customer service representative explained to her that I had in fact been charged twice, she only said that I would have to wait 5-10 business days. They had one wash rag and one towel. The covers are super thin plus the room smelled. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and when I turned on the lights there were roaches in the bathroom! At checkout she wanted to check the room before returning my refund. I would Not recommend this hotel to anyone else. The Police were there constantly because of domestic disturbances.

This place is the worst place I ever stayed. My room had paint all over the carpet. The toilet didn't even work. I asked if i can have another room and that room was just as bad. the room had bugs the shower didn't work. The room a funky smell and they had the nerve to charge me a deposit . I should have charged them for staying the very short time I stayed there. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They really need to get that place together they suck!!

UPDATE: I called this Sburban Studios today on November 26, 2025 just to confirm if my boyfriend and I were truly on the DNR list for complaining to Guest Relations about this hotel renting us a room without a working refrigerator. The clerk that I spoke to confirmed that we were on the DNR list, NOT for lodging a complaint about the refrigerator but the owner's sister LIED and said that my boyfriend lunged at her on the day we were told that we were on the DNR for complaining. My boyfriend NEVER had ANY communication with the owner's sister that day, as a matter of fact, I sat in the lobby waiting for our Lyft to pick us up and my boyfriend was outside smoking a cigarette. He very briefly came into the lobby and sat down and spoke to a guest by the name of Thomas or Tommy. At that po
