Studio 6 Murray, UT - Salt Lake City - Fort Union

The worst Motel 6. It was advertised as “new” but was far from it. the place was falling apart, filthy and unsafe. On top of that they charge a pet fee when I didn’t even want my dog in the room or on the premises. The man at the front desk was rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. A few examples (out of many): there was broken glass, trash and cigarette butts in the walkways. There were no kitchen items and the coffee pot I was lent from the front desk was filthy dirty. The shower curtain was falling down so water goes everywhere. Most fixtures in the room were broken. The room and bathroom were dirty. Was bitten by bugs in the bed (in winter time.) See pictures. Non-smoking room smelled strongly of smoke. The room was dirty with broken doors. The refrigerator and TV worked, but the mattress was completely blown out. The springs and divots were so pronounced that I had to sleep across the bed instead of lengthwise so that the bump in the middle fit against my waist. If you need shelter, it's better than being outside.

The only good part was that we got a full refund without any hassle! Stovetop didn't work, place wasn't clean and there were a lot of people hanging around in the parking lots at night. We did not feel confident leaving anything in our a car or the room. Headed to Sandy, UT and had a much better experience for only a little bit more $.

Positive: It was a place to sleep. Negative: It had no pillows or bedspreads on the bed. No shower curtain, no garbage cans. It reeked of cigarette smoke. There was a dirty plastic fork on the floor of the room & lipstick drawn on the mirror that was never washed off. It was terrible.

This Studio 6 in Murray is the worst motel I have ever stayed at. Was on ground floor and there must have been a leak in the room above. Went to take a shower and didn't even have to turn on the water it was already coming from the ceiling. It had black mold around the area where it was leaking so I didn't shower. I thought we had booked a non-smoking room but it sure smelled bad but there were no ashtrays and had burn marks on everything. The entry mat was peeling up from the corner so they just duct tapped it down a long time ago because the tape was peeling and had a lot of dirt stuck to it. The lazyness of the employee who cleans the room must be great. He didn[t even take time to put the toilet paper in the holder or maybe it was broke. The office was closed when we left so I wasnt ab
