Stone Park

We loved this hotel! We were a walk in as the hotel we initially booked didn’t have a pool and a pool was a necessity traveling with two 12-year olds. They had availability and got us right in. The room was spacious, and it was great as we had our own room and my son could have his own space with his own tv. The rooms all have a full size fridge and stove which saved us from eating out all the time. Lovely balconies to watch the sunset at the ends of the hallway. Great location next to many stores (including an ice cream stand next door). The hotel itself is beautiful although it appears not fully complete.||The highlight of our stay, however, was the pool. We visited during low season. My number one concern with accommodations is exclusively cleanliness. I don’t care about room service or pools. So in that respect it met my expectations. My only real complaint was that they had better bed linens, they were “mid” and they don’t have duvet covers, they just cover the comforter with sheets. That’s the norm really, for hotels. Everything was spotless. Not a speck of dust. There was a dog appointed to the lobby. And there was coffee and muffins. The staff was available but not intrusive. There were great couches by the fire place for reading. No elevators. I know people prefer to stay in bar harbor and close to Acadia but I like staying in a less busy lodging off the beaten track.

The only thing that was very disappointing about the hotel was the breakfast, which was practically non-existent. We get down to breakfast at 8:30 and there was nothing to eat, much less what was supposed to be there. It goes without saying that the hotel includes breakfast because there is nothing to eat in the morning and you have to take that into account.

This was so much nicer than we anticipated! The room was huge, had every amenity we needed. It was the best night of sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. Felt very cozy and not like a hotel. Cleanliness is my #1 need for hotels and they did not disappoint.

I love this hotel, I was surprised, it's so pretty, clean, spacious, feels like staying in an apartment. All the rooms look new, bed super comfy. They do have a coffee station all day long and it's delicious! If you're around here, you have to stay here! 10 of 10. Oh, btw, they do have long term deals, even better!
