Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Ellsworth / Bar Harbor

I usually stay at the Hampton Inn when I’m in Ellsworth but they were closed for the week. I was pleasantly surprised by this replacement. The rooms were clean, the breakfast decent, cereal/oatmeal/bagels/scrambled eggs and sausage were the hot options. The tea selection is amazing. The desk was much more work friendly and the kitchenette was amazing especially if you’re traveling for work and don’t want to have to eat out all the time. It is cheaper and people do seem to stay here long term so there is a little more noise but nothing bad that I couldn’t deal with.

Room has very well equipped kitchenette although i did not cook. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was scrambled egg with muffin, fresh fruits, waffle, cupcakes, cookies. Cereals, oat and milk Hotel is about 40min from Acadia and we had good dinner in Governor's

Positive: Cleanliness and the staff was very people oriented, kind, courteous. Negative: Not really.

Great location in town. Quiet and accommodating. Front desk clerk was kind and helpful. Check in was quick and she recommended a great place to get some food. Helpful in the morning as well! Complimentary breakfast was definitely a plus!

Paid over $200.00 a night as we wanted something close to Acadia with a kitchen to make our own meals *Rooms were very nice and clean but on the pricy side *Kitchen does not have a stove or oven *Not enough staff. One night a sign was put up there would be no night staff and therefore the front doors would be locked. Another time there was no breakfast server so the front desk person put out a few items. *Out of the 8 days we were there only 3 days worth of newspapers were available *Housekeeping does not enter your room. This could be a pro but you had to take out your trash and fill out a form for any supplies needed, such as toilet paper. *Wi-Fi was slowly and often dropped the connection * No elevator
