Atlantic Coast Inn (Formerly Primavera Inn)

😡 Terrible experience — definitely not worth the price. We booked this place for two nights and seriously regretted it. It’s way too expensive for what is basically a low-quality motel. We arrived at 9 PM, and instead of being able to shower and go to bed, we had to wait in our car for an hour to warm up the room. In the bathroom, the shampoo and conditioner bottles were completely empty — they weren’t refilled at all. We also had major issues with the heater both nights. When we finally managed to get the PIN code to enter the room (since they don’t have a normal check-in or reception), the room was freezing — the same temperature as outside — and we had a 4-month-old baby with us. Then at night the heater would suddenly switch to full power on its own, making the room unbearably hot. S

The room was comfortable. Had minor hiccup on check in. It was resolved quickly. Cilantro bistro, the restaurant attached was very good. I will stay here again the next time I come to Ellsworth.

The main benefit of this motel is that it is in a good location, not too far from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Close to several fast food places also.|The room itself was clean, but very dated, and small and the AC unit barely cooled the room. Maid service only changed towels and emptied trash. Did not make the beds or replenish anything. No soaps in the bathroom except shampoo and conditioner.

Last minute we decided to get a hotel room and everything was booked! I called Atlantic Coast with hopes of being able to get a good nights sleep. They answered the phone around 9:30pm and were able to get us a room within the BnB style house near their Inn. They were so quick and friendly, it was a contactless entry. The whole process was so easy and was nicer than a hotel.
