Stockton Inns

We reserved two rooms here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The rooms were very basic but clean. I read the reviews before I came so I had my expectations in check. I also knew to bring my own towels as they don’t give extra towels. I would also recommend bringing an extra pillow or two. You can not beat the location. It’s tight across the street from the beach with showers at the end. The pool is nice too and not crowded. You get a nice size fridge as well. The owner is a little abrasive but she is running a business so I get it. It’s a great value for Cape May. I also left a valuable item behind and was able to get it back while the maids were cleaning. Overall I would stay here again.

Good location, clean grounds and rooms but old, dated, and dark rooms. The blackout curtains barely open all the way so it dark along with poor lighting. We were stuck in a corner on the first floor so we called it the dungeon. Not sure why you have to pay extra for one more person if it doesn’t come with breakfast. The beds were horrible, as were all the linens. Small, cheap, towels and cream colored wash clothes. Signs with rules everywhere, the pool area was very small, only 6 loungers by the pool and 1 umbrella. The hotel is way overpriced!!! Honestly, the room was so bad we left one night early and we were all very disappointed.

I’ve been staying here for years, and Patty always makes Cape May feel like home. She truly cares about her guests, and in a recent situation with unexpected, difficult circumstances, she went above and beyond to show kindness and support. You don’t often find that kind of genuine hospitality anymore. Between the perfect location, the view from the deck, and the familiar welcome every time, this is my favorite place in Cape May. Highly recommend!

Anniversary weekend at Stockton. Issues with toilets, didn't flush, had to work on it myself throughout my stay, and ants in bathroom, lost personnel items due to infestation. Discussed with "personnel", "oh sorry ". No offer of compensation or discount for our inconvenience. Won't be back

Exceeded my expectations. Fantastic location and super clean. Yes it's a little dated but that's fine if it's spotless and it was. Would def stay there again, nice little pool, and mini golf onsite. Less than a 10 minute walk to the mall. Pro tip - have a drink at the Chalfonte Hotel 2 blocks away on the porch and watch the horse and carriages go by.
