Cape May Beach is a must-visit if you're searching for beautiful beaches on the East Coast. It offers a clean and peaceful environment, perfect for relaxing. I went on a Saturday evening in mid September and the beach was pretty crowded as it was a weekend. Water was cold a little bit. This is a great place to see the sunset. Lifeguards were not on duty on that day and we didn’t have to pay any fees.( may due to it is offseason or something). Parking options include street-paid parking. The beach is accessible, with boardwalks leading to a wooden path to the sand. The place also has showers and restrooms next to the beach entrances.
What a wonderful place to visit. The ocean breeze is incredible and all of the restaurants and shops that are there are definitely worth exploring. Not that bad of a drive from anywhere in the northeast part of the country. Enjoy, Robert.
It's just an absolutely beautiful place to visit! There seems to be a little bit for everyone, no matter your taste. Go for sand and surf, frolicking in the sun, cycling around town, taking in cool architectural designs, sampling new and unique foods, going for a carriage ride around town, or just strolling, I guarantee you will find something of interest. Plan a day trip or a weekend getaway. You won't regret it!
Cape May is a busy and fun summer experience as well as a cozy and relaxed winter destination. Many excellent restaurants and bars with the shops on Washington as well as pristine beaches.
Cape May has a wide variety of sites to see. There is the World War II look out tower. Then at the end of the road is the beach, mainly used for fishing. Great view of the Lewes Ferry traveling to Delaware, along with other small fishing boats and planes.Other things of interest a gift shop, mini gulf and eatery called The Grille. From there travel to the Cape May Lighthouse located in the State Park. Although there is access to the beach No swimming allowed. There are boardwalks set up for Nature trail and bird watching. Lastly travel to the Washington Mall, 12 minutes away. Parking is a challenge. The only parking lot is for the Acme Market, cost $6/hour called, Washington Commons Shopping & Parking. Street parking is meter need to pay the kiosk. The shops are small and pricey. There ar
