Staybridge Suites San Antonio - Schertz by IHG

This was a great experience. The rooms were good but the service was better. The front desk staff was great and the chef who did the socials on weeknights was fantastic. That was a highlight of the stay. Unfortunately the elevator was broken the entire 2 weeks I was there and it sounds like it had been a lot longer than that... thankfully I didn't need it this trip.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel while attending the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and spacious, making it a great fit for our family. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in experience. The location was perfect—less than a 20-minute drive to Frost Bank Center. The hotel suite exceeded our expectations with two queen beds, a fold-out sofa couch, and a fully stocked kitchen, including a full-size refrigerator with an ice maker, a small dishwasher, and a cooktop. Everything we needed to feel at home was right there. The continental breakfast, while standard, was tasty and everyone in the family was satisfied. I stayed here for over 6 months for work earlier this year and was impressed with the value and service at this hotel. The rooms were large and had everything I needed for my long stay. I was even upgraded to a larger suite halfway through my time there. The breakfast was much fresher and had greater variety than any other hotel brands in similar price ranges - I appreciated that they had a Greek yogurt bar, cottage cheese and a lot of fresh fruit. The pool and outdoor areas were nice as well. The evening happy hours (Mon-Wed) were also good, and a lot of the time worked as my dinner. They were often pulled pork, mashed potatoes and broccoli, or a taco bar, with free beer ans wine. Positive: The hotel had amazing amenities! The staff was super friendly and the suite had everything - dishes, utensils, the works! It was also pretty nice that mini bottles of dish soap were there to clean up and let them dry. Negative: Some of the towels were dirty upon arrival, but nothing else was out of the ordinary.
