Candlewood Suites San Antonio - Schertz by IHG

We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is in a great location. The front desk employees were fantastic! We loved the amenities and the layout of our room. Overall we had a really good experience. Our only complaint is how dirty the floors are. Not just in our room, but the common areas and stairwell. The floors have dirt, crumbs and stains everywhere. The hardwood floors in our kitchen turned our socks black. If I were to guess, I would say the floors haven't been cleaned in months; they were absolutely disgusting!

I have been a IHG member for quite some time. I travel to Austin area for work. I have always been able to check in early with no issues (1:30pm earliest I will try to check in). I understand they need time for people to check out and clean the rooms). Arrive at Candelwood Suites in Schertz at 145pm. Asked to check in. I was told by Gabby I couldnt check in till 3pm or I could pay an early check in fee....lol. Just curious, I asked if they had rooms available to check into right now....wait...wait.."Yes we do". In my book, this is horrible service. All the hotels, I stay at will check you in if they have rooms available. Time to stay at competitors hotels. Dont need you IHG. As an owner, my company will take its business somewhere else.

I had a great stay at Candlewood Suites in Schertz, Texas. Mr. Frank, the manager, was very attentive and made sure we were well accommodated, addressing any issues that came up right away. His staff was extremely friendly, and the hotel was thoroughly cleaned every day—a huge plus. Keep up the great work, and I hope to visit again!

I have stayed at this Hotel/location a few times now and each time absolutely no complaints. All the staff from Management, front desk, housekeeping and even maintenance were very easy going and always ask if everything was good during my stay and if there was anything I need. Very "Approachable" Each and every room that I have stayed in was very clean and well stocked. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone. Thanks to the Candlewood Suites Staff!

The place meets all requirements to save money and enjoy you stay. Other than the weird elevator that's feels like it might fail at anytime, it's a nice place. The staff are amazing, super helpful, and welcoming. The minishop has most snacks you can think of. The only issue is the TV and some utensils are missing(you can ask for them at the front). Not having Netflix or YouTube is an irritating inconvenience especially if you are staying for a long time but can be solved with a firestick you take on your trips. 7/10 one of or even the best place to stay at.
