Stay USA Hotel & Suites

Front desk staff at check in was pleasant. My husband and I were able to check in an hour earlier than check in time with no issue. We were in room 126 which is close to breakfast & the front doors which was nice. Since the hotel is a little older the walls are thin. Across the hall there was family with screaming kids that felt like they were in our room. Thankfully it stopped within 10 minutes. The A/C unit that’s under the window worked perfectly. Set it at 72°f with it constantly blowing and had zero issues. Some may say it’s loud but it kept the room warm and we are heavy sleepers. The bed was comfortable and clean. The pillows were lacking. They seemed extremely small for king size bed we were on. Personally I prefer a more firm pillow for support for my neck but the pillows they

Hot Springs, South Dakota. Last minute booking on my part. Quiet, good in room temperature control, TV channel selection was terrible (but it is what the area provides). Breakfast was plentiful but virtually tasteless, coffee at breakfast was flavorful and plenty hot, complimentary coffee in lobby was empty the 5 times I attempted for a cup. There was Major ice buildup in fridge. Vent in bathroom could have had something growing, filthy. Sink drain appears to be fairly plugged as it takes hours to empty after brushing my teeth. Room is greatly over due for a PM. Basic room maintenance. Too much to list, nothing super major. I'm a former maintenance chief and regional inspector for Marriott. NO in room COFFEE MAKER as advertised.

Positive: Breakfast is good Negative: we are allocated a room and we went into the room , it was not cleaned and hair everywhere. we have to go back to the front desk to request for another room.

The hotel has a fantastic location — close to downtown Hot Springs, the historic attractions, and some great local restaurants. It was very convenient for exploring the area, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. That said, the property itself is definitely in need of some updates. The rooms were clean enough, but the furniture and décor felt dated, and a few things (like the carpet and bathroom fixtures) could use some attention. The bed was moderately comfortable, but overall the space felt a bit worn down. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made our stay more pleasant, and check-in was easy. With some renovations, this hotel could be a real gem, especially given its prime location. For now, it’s an okay choice if you’re mainly looking for a convenient place to stay while e

had a reservation at another hotel get canceled due to hot water heater issues and were directed here. Got a room fairly quickly and affordably.. Basic room, nothing fancy. Paint peeling off window wall and one of the beds had a stain on it dark enough to see through the bedsheet..not a good impression but I've stayed at better rated hotels that were much worse. The staff were great, the location was good and the breakfast was really good. I'd be willing to give this hotel another chance in the future if circumstances dictated it
