Historic Log Cabin Motel

Despite arriving on possibly the hottest day of fall, this was a charming, clean, welcoming stay. The cabins are historic and decorated to promote that ambiance. It was clean, clean, clean with thick bathroom towels and soft beds. The owner made it clear our furbaby was a welcome addition and explained where we could walk her and find doody bags. We stopped at a deli and brought dinner home to eat on the deck that overlooks the canyon below. We enjoyed watching birds come to roost and woke up to turkeys gobbling in the morning. The owner cooked us a great breakfast to start our day and send up on our way. For those with youngsters, there is a play area and a communal kitchen for anyone wanting to prepare their own meal. This was our 4th stay at these charming cabins, and I'm already looking forward to the next! It is such a quiet, peaceful and quaint place to relax. Rick and Shayla are wonderful hosts- so friendly and welcoming! The breakfasts were delicious and filling, the cabins were cute and comfortable, and the whole locale is just so charming!

Super friendly and accommodating! Couple of Harley riders. Get in late, had a double cabin that shared a bathroom, so quaint! Great AC, super quiet located above town. |Staff was over the top helpful, even letting us wash our Harley’s the next morning! |Short walk to town with all the shops. ||Cool affordable place!

If your looking for a great place to stay when your in the hills, stay here!! Our motorcycle group, Old Cronies stay here every yr for our annual ride to the veterans home in Hot Springs. This place is so cozy, cute cabins!! Relaxing quiet place and Rick and Shayla are the best hosts!! Great breakfasts (they both) go all out to make sure your day starts terrific!! They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is wonderful!! This place is a MUST check out!!

If you're looking for simple, rustic and down- home cabin hospitality, stop and stay with Shayla in these great historic cabins on the north edge of Hot Springs! Free home cooked breakfast and great decor! Great location and close to the Rushmore and the Park! Parking is close to your cabin and much less work than packing everything into a larger hotel!
