Stay Inn Kannapolis, NC - Concord

Today is 11/23/25 I stayed at the hotel last night, and it was nice. My room was renovated with new comfortable beds,shower, and night stands. There was a nice tv, refrigerator, and a work microwave which was also clean. No big at all. Thank you for the nice stay.

Stayed here one night with my family. As soon as we arrived, we were hit with the scent of pot in our room. It was so pungent, and it was all over the bedding as well. Nice to know our hosts tomorrow will be stuck with us smelling like that. Our children and library books included. Also the smoke detector was beeping all night long. We would been better off sleeping on our host’s couch.

Look for the Stay Inn sign, its the only one you can see from the road. Getting in and out requires a roundabout and a u-turn, and being by a truck stop, it was a little noisy. Our door didn't have a seal around it, so that probably didn't help. I checked in online but then had to complete the whole process when I arrived. The room was small but clean. Our queen bed was very firm, so that's a plus if you like a very firm mattress. It only had 2 small pillows, and when we asked for two more, they could only find one. (Other empty rooms with the curtains open had 4, so maybe it was just our room?) There were two tiny trashcans and no soap at all. No drawers but there was a luggage rack. I didn't even get a chance to book a room, they don't take cash app cards or any kind of prepaid banking cards and they want to take $100 holding fee. The place isn't even looking worth having that high of a holding fee.

The rooms are nicely renovated. The outside is poorly cared for and dirty. There are unsavory people staying there making it feel very unsafe. Kind of gave it the feel of the one night stay hotel for the locals???? The dog walk area was not mowed with very tall grass.
