Starlight Hotel

The room was nice and clean, but the vents were very noisy. However after paying 150$ for a single night at the reception they told us that they would have keep our luggage only for an hour free of charge and after than it was going to be 5$. We agreed to it. Then when we came back it became 5$ for bag (15 in total) and cash only. When I asked if they were going to provide a receipt for the payment of the service the receptionist said no. It was clearly an extortion. I will never come back.

2nd time staying here and it’s a really nice, very modern and cute. The hotel could use better maintenance in the rooms. I was also really disappointed this time because of the mold on the curtains which was touching one of the beds……also few stains on the sheets this time smh. But overall nice hotel! I recommend! Just please make sure things are extra clean and less hazardous for future guests smh thanks again for having me.

The hotel looks modern inside and out; however, the maintenance needs significant improvement. We stayed for three nights in a City View Suite. Upon entering, we noticed that one of the legs on the pull-out sofa was missing, and the swing-out desk on another sofa was unstable. There was no body wash in the shower. We informed the front desk, and while the staff member was courteous and nice, the body wash was unfortunately never replenished during our stay. The suite itself is spacious but a bit spartan (no closet, just a standing coat rack). Breakfast is also very basic, consisting only of coffee and very limited choice of bread and cereal. That said, the location is excellent. It is a short walk from downtown Flushing, the 7 train, and the LIRR. The Skyview Shops are right next door. J

This is a great hotel. I like the fact that it’s close to Citi Field and of course, close to the airport LaGuardia Airport. I had a great time with my friends. We still here to watch the game and it was close to everything lots of bars and restaurants. I like the fact that the room was clean. It did have TVs. I saw some reviews that it says they didn’t but of course they do they also have Soap and things that we needed like extra towels. This hotel was very affordable. I think it’s one of those hotels that is great just to have a good time if you’re coming to watch the game or if you need a place to stay after you come out from the airport and you’re extremely tired. I will recommend this hotel because it was very accommodating. It was close to everything and it’s always needed.

I was told everything was confirmed by booking.com. My Booking.com app also showed a confirmed reservation. However, when I arrived at the property, I was informed that my reservation had been canceled due to a declined credit card. I received no notification of cancellation, and there was no record of an attempted charge on my card. I was told to book another room. Additionally, during the stay there were significant noise issues outside the room, including what sounded like a smoke alarm, which made it difficult to sleep. Furthermore, the hotel is non-smoking, but there was a constant smell of weed. Overall, this experience was very disappointing due to the lack of communication and the issues during the stay.
