Starkville Inn & Suites

You get what you pay for. The room never got cleaned in 3 days. Had to ask for clean towels. Heater/AC didn't work. Hope the change in ownership makes it better. I can't believe they call the free breakfast, breakfast. It didn't have any bread, meat or egg, green apples forfruit. There was sweet cereals and waffles. Great weight room though. Close to where I needed to attend.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This was one of the worst rooms we have ever stayed in. The hallway was dimly lit. The furniture had huge stains on it, which we attempted to clean ourselves. The ceiling in the bathroom was peeling off. The toilet paper holder was completely broken and unusable. The shower curtain rod was coming off the wall, so the curtain was essentially useless. The tub would not drain. The toilet would not flush right. The lights were a horribly dim florescent that flicked for several seconds before they came on (like a horror movie). The room had not been cleaned well, and the cabinet under the sink was filled with partially consumed alcohol and a Martini glass that was still half full. We had planned to stay for three nights, but left as soon as we could after the first night.

The check-in person was very friendly and helpful! The manager on duty was so rude. She actually hung up on us when we tried to speak with her about our situation. The room was smelly, microwave was dirty. The lobby needs to be spruced up to make it more inviting/comfortable for guests. This hotel needs some tender loving care. Would not recommend this hotel until major changes take place and a friendly manager to assist you.

Will be nice when the renovations are complete. Friendly and accommodating staff. It's not the Hilton, but it did the job! Best price in town if you're looking for a cheap room, but don't come looking for luxury! :)

Recently changed the name to Claion Pointe. I hope that means they're updating other things as well. The whole building felt dated. Spots on the walls where wallpaper had been ripped off. The room was comfortable enough and it was clean. Unfortunately, it just felt dingy because it's dated. Nicks and chips in the furniture showed its age. I wouldn't actively avoid this place in the future but, until it gets a good makeover, I'd look some place else first.
