Holiday Inn Express & Suites Starkville by IHG

Great hotel. Would stay here again. Came for Ms State football game. Although not within walking distance to the stadium, it's less than 2 miles away. Clean rooms. Breakfast was good. Cookout right next door, for a good burger.

When we checked in, I was greeted as a reward member. The young lady was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. The Wi-Fi was excellent. The TV was great too. The bathroom had a bathtub which was great and made it easy to give my daughter a bath instead of struggling in a shower.

Surfaces were clean but floors were DIRTY. Bathtub was dirty. Put water on the floor in the bathroom and swoosh around a hand towel to clean it and it turned dark grey almost immediately. Woman at front desk was very nice and gave us extra towels immediately. But the room was outdated and dirty. My bare feet turned black/brown on the bottom after the shower when I walked on the rug. Room 332. Hallways were dingy/dirty too or we would've asked for another room. Im sure its more of the same. Not worth the bother

Our room was nice and clean. The hotel staff were helpful when my family needed extra towels and when recommending places to visit/shop nearby. It's centrally located and plenty of places to walk to grab something to eat nearby. The complimentary breakfast was good, I really liked their veggie omelets. The pool was open, nice and clean although there were no pool towels outside. You might have to grab some from the front desk before going out there.

The Gym is awful, treadmill has been down for months, no flat bench. The rooms are decent but it seems like every other room I’ve stayed in has a random beeping sound. The back door doesn’t work, the staff seems more interested is socializing or social media to care about their jobs. The WiFi support is useless, so don’t bring any gaming devices. Seems like they are only interested in cleaning one coffee machine so prepare to wait 5 minutes or so for a cup of coffee in the mornings. But hey, at least I got a letter from the manager thanking me for staying
