St. Charles Inn - Hotel Superior

Positive: I liked the atmosphere of the small hotel. Had plenty of seating outside and in for visiting and watching the street cars. Good coffee available all day. Negative: I would like to have an ice machine on each floor, especially near the lobby. A few more parking spaces would be great.

This is an excellent location and very clean hotel! Very good breakfast. Restaurant in the property. Great parking. Almost right in front of the public transport. Great beautiful neighborhood where you can walk to see the mansions or take the publica transport to go sightseen the Garden District to Downtown. But the best of all was the staff: Jenny is soooo nice and friendly we almost cry when we had to check out and leave! We definitely made this our preferred hotel in New Orleans and we'll be back. Hopefully we meet Jenny again for her warm personality and empathy! Highly recommended!

Had an excellent stay here. Great customer service, the manager was very accommodating to a request we had. The hotel itself is quite charming, rooms and halls were clean, gated free parking lot in the back was important to us, providing more peace of mind for our vehicle although there is street parking right there. Price was good on the night we stayed. Keep in mind many other hotels charge significant money for parking so when you consider safe free parking when comparing different hotels for room plus parking the St Charles Inn was a no brainer especially since the hotel was quite nice. As other reviewers mentioned, the Street Car stop is very close, about a block and a half. We rode it all the way to Bourbon street and also the next day rode it the opposite direction simply to sight s

Very nice 4⭐️Hotel on St Charles Street in Garden District of NOLA. Limited parking, handicap entry in back, nice lobby with friendly smiling folks. One small elevator. Lobby overlooks street, as does part of restaurant & a patio. Neighborhood feels safe compared to quarter. Lots of people walking, jogging, & with dogs on sidewalks. Two sinks in room, nice touch, but shower is in Tub, & has only one grab bar by the facet, not on long wall. Plenty of supplies.

This hotel was a dream stay for my last visit to NOLA in October 2025. It was quiet and clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Over 4 nights, I probably slept better than I have in months! The location was great and the convenience of the restaurant/bar downstairs was a nice benefit, but the easy in and out self parking was the best feature of all. I will definitely be back!
