Springs Lodge & Cafe (Lodge)

Nice homey hotel. Close to downtown and the hot springs. Room walls and ceiling/floors are thin and hardwood. Only thing is to hope you don't have neighbors, which is unlikely. If you are sensitive to noise, do not stay here. I could hear regular conversations from the next room and constantly listened to people walk around above me. At the very least don't stay on the lower level. Temperature control in room was also an issue. Set room to 66 but had to turn fan off in the middle of the night because it was blowing air straight out of a volcano (sounded like it too) and room was getting hot.

We really enjoyed our one night stay here the evening of September 22nd. Normally we like to stay at a motel/hotel with an inside entrance for security purposes. But, after reading all the positive reviews, we decided to take a chance on it and we are very glad we did. The room was updated and very clean. I especially liked the Barn Door shutter on the window and the one to close off the bathroom. The rooms have been updated recently too. I really liked the shape of the bathroom sink. I have never seen one like it at any other establishment.The shower had to heads in it. One handheld and one stationary. They could be used together or separate. This place is perfect for your stay in Hot Springs, SD. The staff here is amazing; everyone was so nice and polite. The rooms are exceptionally clean and location is great! Just walking distance from pretty much everything. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Springs Lodge & Café. 10/10 would recommend staying here!

Being displaced from the power outages, I was looking for a clean place that wasn’t overpriced to stay warm. I found this lodge and I’m so glad I did! They have well designed, pet friendly rooms. The owners are welcoming and very friendly. It was clean, comfortable, and affordable. On a side note, my room had a double blade ceiling fan that my cat was terrified of, I presume because it looks like a giant eagle. That was rather comical. I’ll book here again, hopefully just for fun rather than displacement!

I loved my stay with Phil and Vicky and there dog Miles Davis at Spring Lodge and Cafe. Phil was exceptionally accommodating and his wife runs the cafe and even delivered my meal to my room one evening when I was super beat from a long day of touring the area. The room had everything one would want, very clean with a super comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The TV was large and had a multitude of channel choices. The Internet worked flawlessly. A small desk to work from as well and a large chair to lounge in if you so desired. The cafe had great food and one of the best breakfast burritos I have had. I felt like I was staying with family, and they were exceptionally gracious and made my stay a wonderful experience. I would highly recommended them for your next trip
