SpringHill Suites by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Research Triangle Park

Weekend of 2/28/2026. Managers refused to honor a promotion on the Bonvoy App, buy 2 get 1 night free offered for this specific hotel. Multiple guests this weekend booked on the pretense of this promotion. Screenshots show the “Rate Details” showing little to none additional terms and conditions. Managers did not work that weekend and never reached out directly, despite hotel staff assurances stating that they would. It appears that they intend to avoid taking responsibility and then sweep the situation under the rug, since we’ll no longer be their problem after checkout. The entire situation is incredibly dishonest. Issue filed with Marriott for accountability; Marriott Case number 814948459, pending resolution.

Positive: It was clean and very much business appropriate in a good location. Negative: The hotel was not full and a room on the parking lot side NOT the highway side would have been 1000 times easier to have slept in. No noise control on the back rooms of the hotel!

I’m writing this review not out of anger, but in the hopes that it can be a learning opportunity for the staff at this location. Due to an unexpected flight cancellation, I was unable to use my reservation at SpringHill Suites. I called the hotel to cancel and to ask if I might be eligible for a refund. The gentleman who answered was polite and explained that, based on the booking option I selected, I would have needed to cancel within 24 hours of booking to receive a refund. That was completely understandable, and I accepted that. However, when I asked whether I would still receive Bonvoy points since I had paid for the stay, he said he was new and would check with a supervisor. NO POOL! Hotel was fine, exactly what you’d expect from a 20yr old SpringHill suites but just be aware there is no pool despite many sites having pictures of one. They have turned it into a conference room. My kids were really disappointed since that was a main reason for booking this hotel.

I had a great stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Raleigh-Durham Airport/Research Triangle Park. I forgot the names of the front desk employees, but two different staff members really stood out. They were both incredibly professional, friendly, and always greeted me with a smile whenever I walked by. They even suggested some great nearby restaurants, which I really appreciated. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable, no complaints at all. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I’d definitely stay here again!
