JB Duke Hotel

I had an enjoyable stay at the JB Duke hotel. It is very convenient if you have any business at Duke. The hotel is a short walk to Cameron, Wallace Wade, Fuqua, etc., and the shuttle makes getting around quite easy. The parking garage is a 2 or 3 minute walk from the hotel. The lobby bar and restaurant are quite good. The drink specials were inviting and my post game lunch was excellent. I ordered the potstickers and the portions were large. Breakfast at the marketplace was excellent as well. The fitness center is a decent size, and the hotel is close to many walking trails through Duke Forest.

It's a good vibe at the JB Duke, especially if you're doing things campus-related. The shuttle is exceptional, the lodging is nice, although a little corporate, and the Duke-vibe is good, though not over the top. The food is good, though I would stay away from the quesadillas. That is all - enjoy staying in Duke forest, too!||||There is a lot of games played with lodging rates. They best one I've found is directly on their site, at least 3 days in advance. It's even better than the alumni rate, oddly.

We enjoyed our stay at the JB Duke hotel for the usual reasons: nicely appointed guest rooms, cleanliness, welcoming staff, fitness center, and nice grounds, but also due to its proximity to a 3 mile wooded trail (immediately across the street) and the university. My sole criticism is the pet fee, $150, which was equivalent to the nightly rate for the room. In fairness to the hotel, it provides this rate on its website, which I discovered only after our stay. The hotel advertises itself as pet friendly with a photo of dogs on its website and consequently I had assumed that the rate would be typical of pet friendly hotels, about $50. I suggest the hotel include the pet fee in its booking process to better ensure guests are aware of the cost. The hotel did provide a dog bed, bowl, and blanke

This was our 3rd visit to JB Duke while visiting the Duke cancer center from our Asheville home. Our bed/room was very comfortable, and clean, all the amenities we needed were there. The whole hotel is beautiful, with lots of areas to explore. The food was delicious (best omelet ever) I will be going to Duke Raleigh for my next visit in April, we will stay here even though the drive is a bit further from Durham. This is a 5 star experience with an amazing price. I can't recommend JB enough.

Had a wonderful stay here and its the only place we’ll stay when in the area! If your priorities are nature, fitness, functionality, space, cleanliness, and tranquility - among other things - you’ll want to stay here! The gym has everything you need, there is a sauna and outdoor trails nearby, there is a microwave and water dispenser on each floor with different water options, laundry machines, easy and plentiful self parking, etc. Overall, the hotel has many things that accumulate to make the stay super convenient! Highly recommend!!
