SpringHill Suites by Marriott Memphis East/Galleria

Positive: The location and it's all suites Negative: The smell in my room and the distance from the elevator for the accessable room. You had to walk the entire hall just about to get to room

Location was convenient & hotel was only chosen due to being the only one not sold out (state troopers appeared to have taken over). Definitely needs a remodel. The room was a nice size & the "mini" fridge was large enough for my things. The smell was different..can't put in words. 2 of the 4 pillows had hair on them & were not comfortable at all. They serve breakfast but I only had coffee to go. Oh, & the 1st floor ice machine didn't work! Pictures show enough.. luckily I only needed to stay one night. Service is a one due to not having any done or any interactions with staff.

I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We reserved a king room over a month in advance only to arrive to find out they no longer had any kings available. The key cards don’t work efficiently. We received zero housekeeping services so we had to ask for extra towels, etc only to be told they had limited supply as I was looking at a cart full of clean and folded towels and linens. The free breakfast was completed picked over and never replenished. I could continue to go on and on. As loyal Marriott customer for nearly 20 years, this hotel is a disappointment to the franchise.

We had a horrible experience. We checked in around 8 pm and was told the hotel had no rooms available after we had a confirmed reservation. We were offered another hotel in the Marriott family which was under construction filled with dust. The next night we were switched back to the original hotel which was we witness a live bed bug in our sheets. The bathroom was mold infested. We were transferred to another room with no compensation for or consideration. We did not get a credit or points for our horrible experience and inconvenience.

1st room they put us in, the refrigerator and lamp were broken. The bathroom was not clean. We were switched to another room which was a little bit better. The hotel staff were very pleasant.
