SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hampton

I normally enjoy most Marriott hotels but this will be the exception. The room was not clean upon check in although there were clean towels and the beds were made. I was unable to activate the internet tv which was unfortunate for my husband who was as in the room for a number of hours. When I called the front desk to inquire about getting it started, they gave me a toll free number and said I had to call myself. I did so and waited on hold several times before being told it couldn’t be fixed remotely. I inquired about it at the front desk the next morning and the desk clerk said they would look in to it. But…nothing ever happened. I picked up towels from the front desk last night because, although I opted for every other day cleaning, it’s day 3 and no one has cleaned the room or pic

I checked in to stay at this location for a business trip. The photos online DID NOT MATCH the room I was presented. When I entered, the couch was covered in what look like stains from "activities" we will say. The bathroom was filthy and it smelled just wrong. When I went downstairs to swap rooms the lady at the front desk was amazing. I will say she was the best sport about the whole situation. That company does not appreciate her enough. So to her, I would give 5 stars only. However the next room I was given next smelled horrible. It had a pungent weed odor that would make your eyes water. I was furious. Positive: location to my grandsons house Negative: they charged me 50 extra dollars for my 2 dogs who were only in the room for one hour visiting my daughter from out of state. I did not feel this was warranted because they were NOT STAYING OVERNIGHT!

I made a reservation at: SpringHill Suites by Marriott Hampton 1997 Power Plant Pkwy, Hampton, VA 1. Although I am a GOLD-ELITE member, I made this reservation through a third party. 2. I made this reservation the day before I was flying in from Florida on January 1, 2026 to Virginia to attend a funeral on the 2 January. 3. I arrived to this hotel on January 1 somewhere near 8 PM at night. I was in town for a FUNERAL! 4. Checked in at the desk & the woman looks at my reservation and goes on to say that the hotel doesn’t have hot water. Extremely Disappointing Stay This was, by far, the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Marriott property, and I’ve stayed at many across the brand. SpringHill Suites Hampton needs immediate attention from management. The main entryway was the first red flag: stained carpet floors, large discolorations on the tile, and a patched ceiling with visible putty. The dining area had missing televisions, exposed electrical face plates, and overall poor cleanliness. Even the tile around the lobby columns had dried liquid splashes that clearly should have been cleaned long ago. The pool area felt unsafe and neglected. The pool doors don’t close properly, creating obvious safety and security concerns. During our visit, my kids found over a dozen beer bottle caps scattered around the pool — complete
