Sonesta Simply Suites Hampton Coliseum

Great place for a longer stay in Hampton. Loved having a kitchenette in the room and a laundry room available for use. Everything was clean and in good working order. Hotel is very dog friendly so that is something to be aware of if you prefer hotels with no pet policies. I highly recommend for those longer stays.

If you're traveling in for youth sports and looking to avoid the noise and crowds at the Coliseum hotels, I'd recommend this place. It's in a neighborhood with a community college and golf course so it's quiet at night. While some people might miss a formal lobby, it's offset by some nice amenities. The free washers and dryers are great, and having a nearly full kitchen in the room allows you to dine in -- a cost and time savings compared to eating out. The rooms are good sized with two beds, one of which is in a separate bedroom with a door. Showers have good water pressure, and the air conditioning was effective without being overpowering. Hotel was in a great location for my needs. Anything that I could need was within a 10-20 minute drive without much traffic. Do be advised that this hotel is a little off the beaten path located on a strip of I would say industrial business suites. You wouldn’t know it’s there until you see right up on the hotel. This may not apply by the time a reviewer reads this but I just speak on it. Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was gong through some changes and that their systems were down so I had to check in on paper and leave my CC info for incidentals. I am aware of Hotels policies for incidentals. My issue is with the lack of communication from the hotel informing me. I also expect someone to call me directly right now to resolve this. What happened at your hotel was beyond unacceptable, especially for a place that claims to be under new management.
