SpringHill Suites by Marriott Durham City View

Overcharged!! Horrible customer service. My wife and I checked out 1 day early and still got charged mistakenly for our room and they will not refund it. The GM at the location didn't even give me the courtesy to explain and hid behind the person at the front desk to deliver the bad news and wouldn't talk to me personally. I am takiing this up with Marriott. Doubt they think this is good service for a Marriott Bonvoy member.

Overall great stay. Everything was brand new and clean. Rooms were great, love the suite aspect with living room. The beds were extremely comfy! Loved the microwave and fridge that was included. ||The location was ok. Right off the expressway. Close to Duke. The only thing I wish it had was a full service restaurant and pool. That would really elevate the hotel.

Upon checking in Amara, the front desk agent was rude and unhelpful. She forced me to pay for my room again when I had just paid online. She claims she didn’t see it in their system but could see my reservation!?? Didn’t make sense. So I had two charges from them. It seemed like she lied and made that up so I would be forced to pay again.

Rooms are decent. Front desk is good. But what really did it is the pile of trash emptied out from a mini van on to the ground all over my car. AND a cup of pee left on my hood. That’s correct, a cup of urine left on my car. What a stay! Thanks Durham :)
