Sportsmans Lodge

This is a lovely, family-run hotel that is convenient to our meeting sites, water, etc. The beds were a little old and smushy, and they were updating the wifi last spring when we last went. We liked it enough to return this year! OH, and there are peacocks that roam the grounds. You can even feed them!

Don't come here if don't like being watched like a hawk!!! Came here for my 3 year anniversary and came back after spending time here 2 years ago and back then it was wonderful but this time around we were being watched by an employee. You pay at the end of your stay as said by owner but the second day of our trip some lady that was watching us I assume was an employee came up to our car while we leaving to visit the surrounding area for the day and was very rude with us and demanding we needed to pay now after saying "what are you even doing here?!". After we told her we were staying for 3 days she left and didn't ask for our key. We felt embarrassed and felt that we doing something wrong and it ruined the rest of our trip. We told the owner and she was surprised that it happened and told

Very clean room, very comfortable bed. It had a kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Good water pressure and fast hot water. Interior dated but still enjoyable place to stay. Had overhead heat lamps in the bathroom. AC/heat was average for noise. Quiet place to sleep with no road noise.

Check in with more than easy, beautiful views awesome sunset, great fishing on property, even caught bait on property! There is a boat ramp next door and we were able to fish from shore all night long. No restrictions! The rooms were older but fixed up nicely, and the owner was awesome 100%! And on the other side of things, a quiet romantic getaway could also be had at the same time! Went with my dad, it was a business trip and fishing. But I definitely take my girl there.... And, I hope to soon! Thanks for the hospitality y'all!

Beautiful place to stay, right on the water, close to town, but still really quiet and you feel secluded. Very interesting layout of accommodations, beautiful, friendly peacocks that roam throughout the property. Extremely reasonable rates on the rooms. Dog friendly. Very nice rooms, super clean, and the staff that works throughout the property, are very friendly, including the owner. She was very pleasant to talk with for a few minutes. I highly recommend this stay.
