Sports Illustrated Resorts Chicago

Stayed at this hotel for a long weekend and it was a great choice! The location is perfect and everything was very clean. The staff (Owen, Laura, friendly security guard) were all so nice and gave great commendations. They have a free happy hour with good liquor and drinks. There is a 25$ resort fee a night however was still less expensive then the hotels in surrounding area. Loved our stay thank you!

Location: Same building as the virgin hotel. Very nice. Need room key to access anything past the lobby/second floor. Second floor was **Sorta Open**. I had never been there when it was the virgin, but it seems a bit more Sports Illustrated-y and modern. There was plenty of areas to sit, at the bar or otherwise, however the only area of the resort that was open at the time I was there was the coffee shop which you get a voucher for a free Coffee or free Cookie during your stay. ||Atmosphere: They are trying to get it a more "athlete/sports fan/bears fan" vibe. Which I understand, it wasn't overwhelming, most of that was apparent at check in, and some of the smaller inserts into the rooms. Awesome hotel to stay at in the loop. Formerly, Virgin Hotels Chicago and currently being converted and renovated to the SI Resorts. The building is the Old Dearborn Bank Building. As soon as we pulled up and stepped out, the valet immediately took our car as we marveled at the beauty of the terracotta decorations adorning the building facade. The gentleman at the front desk, Patrick, was very friendly and made sure we had all the info we needed to enjoy our stay to the fullest. They have happy hour Mon-Sat 3-7pm and 10am-2pm Sunday with complimentary drinks on the second floor. Very cool bar area with air hockey, billiards, and a couple arcade games. The best service ever! The staff was amazing: super kind and super cozy! They illustrated to me all the services of the hotel and they were friendly every time I met them (all the different people of the staff that I met!!). They replied to all our questions about the bill and the reservation. Room was very characteristic and very clean. Position is perfect from any distance: you are in the center of Chicago and all of the points are accessible from the hotel. Good products in the coffee shop. I recommend it and I also I will come back tomorrow with another reservation because we were very satisfied with all the service that we received during the first visit. Best Hotel in Chicago!
