Spark by Hilton Yucca Valley Joshua Tree

Note that it is NOT a hot breakfast as others have mentioned. Very sparse and not a lot of protein offered. It's not located in a bad location, but not a great one either. The room itself was spacious, not a lot of furnishings (we had a King). We stayed 3 nights and the last 2 we needed new key cards to get into our room. Staff weren't apologetic and couldn't tell us why. The staff didn't seem to care too much about us. We did have housekeeping come in and leave towels on top of our belongings on the sink counter rather than on the designated shelf or other side of counter both of which were empty. Love Hilton - but don't think I will use a Spark location again.

We have waited in line for 20 minutes to check in, but was told the room was not ready. And that was 4:40 PM. The staff looked annoyed and is not friendly. No water in the gym. No coffee machine, no cups in the room. Has a laundry onsite but didn't offer any detergent to purchase or quarters for exchange. Again, staff is not friendly nor helpful. Will not recommend it or stay here again. The room is big and clean, that's the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. But honestly, haven't been to another hotel that has worse management than this. Super surprise this is one of Hilton's.

A very good stay, that we felt was good value for money. The breakfast is more limited than some similar hotels, but what they did have available was good. Our only issue was that the noise of the lift shaft was irritating in our room (121).

Positive: Extremely clean, friendly staff, comfortable bedding. Both the bathroom and bedroom were nicely decorated. Negative: The initial entry into the room had a fairly strong paint(?) odor that irritated my allergies/asthma a teensy bit. Still smelled better than most 3 star hotels though, so only a mild gripe as I know paint smells take time to fade.

Hotel was clean and modern. If your like me and aim to book somewhere that has free breakfast to save on time and money this is not the place for you. Unlike most hiltons this one does not give you a lot of options (you get bagels, cereal, hard boiled eggs in egg water, muffins and packets of oatmeal) while that is okay due to how busy it seems, they advertise options you can purchase that are free at most other Hilton locations. For the price of stay you shouldn’t have to buy parts of your complementary breakfast
