Field Station Joshua Tree

We had a fantastic stay at Field Station Joshua Tree. Before booking, we called to check whether they had a pack ’n play available as we’re travelling with a baby. Initially, we were told they didn’t, which was disappointing. However, the next day a member of the on-site team personally called us back to apologise for the incorrect information and let us know they do have them available. That proactive customer service really impressed us and meant we could book with confidence. The hotel itself is great value with a cool, relaxed vibe. The check-in area is really nicely done, and the outdoor fire pit is a brilliant spot to unwind in the evening. The hot tub was excellent after long days exploring the park. Field Station was our home base for a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. We were familiar with the adventure hotel concept, as we stayed at Field Station Moab in 2024. Rooms were clean and comfortable (beds are great), although a little noisy as the walls were thin. Pool and hot tubs were a nice respite after a day in the sun at JTNP. Gear shop came in handy when my husband wanted a lighter/technical t shirt to wear. Front desk staff were pleasant and accommodating. Rooms do not have a coffee machine (wish they did), but coffee is available for purchase from the lobby/shop. There is a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. There is a microwave in the lobby. We didn't use the firepit, but it looked very nice. Hotel is about 20 min. from entrance to JTNP. Yucca Valley has plenty of rest

A newly remodeled motel from the 1950s. Great taste in furnishings, landscaping, pool and activities. One major failing: No coffee in the rooms or in the lobby. And no glasses (plastic or glass) in the room. It is too bad because the place is great, a good price, and very kind and helpful staff. But whoever told them it's environmentally friendly to NOT provide coffee or glasses is deluded about the modern world of hospitality.

We recently stayed at the Field Station and had a wonderful experience! The hotel is incredibly well-located, making it an easy jump-off point for Pioneertown, Joshua Tree National Park, and 29 Palms. The Amenities: We loved the heated pool and the spa! It was the perfect "respite" at the end of a long day of exploring. The lobby is spacious and inviting, offering great coffee and food selections. The outdoor courtyard has plenty of room to sit, socialize and they have a wonderful fire pit that is lit every night. I inquired about alcohol purchases as it looked like they had a draft beer dispenser. I was told the hotel was changing ownership, so there were some amenities on hold. Terrific little gem of a place. Minutes from Joshua Tree and Pioneertown. I liked the minimalist room set up. It’s got all you need without clutter making it feel roomie and open. I had a first floor room on front of the pool. A very clean affordable and comfortable place.
