Spark by Hilton Chattanooga Downtown

Pros: Bed was comfortable and the people working there were nice. I had a decent night sleep. Noise level wasn't bad at all. Seemed to be clean.|Cons: It's in a really run down part of town. Elevator was taped off only one in operation. For $100 a night not a good value at all should be a $50 hotel. No coffee maker in the room, no microwave and it says in the description it should have a microwave. It looks to be a pretty bad remodel bathroom was in bad shape. Very shocked this is a hilton property looks more like a quality inn with some lipstick on it.

Positive: Close to interstate Negative: We were woken up late at night by hotel barging in our room with friends.… loud and laughing. Seemed to be coming to party in what they thought was an empty room. Very scary, and could not get back to sleep trip was for family emergency. Unacceptable

If you are a government employee, do not stay at this place. Don’t even consider it. While the rooms aren’t great and the location is sketchy, the main issue is the service. You will book under a government contractor rate which will look like it’s going to follow the Government’s per diem rate. But they will absolutely scam you and one night will be way above the per diem rate. You will spend hours calling the manager trying to get this resolved and they will just dodge your calls. I have been trying to fix this for months and the manager dodged my calls constantly and the customer help line was no help and even backed up this hotel’s use of a government contractor rate instead of a per diem rate to scam those who stay here. Had to pay my company out of pocket because of this nonsense. Ab

Review: Do not spend your money here. This hotel is severely infested with rats, and management is actively trying to hide the scale of the problem instead of fixing it. The General Manager has placed mothballs inside the vents and throughout the building to mask the smell of the infestation. Not only does the entire place stink, but breathing in those fumes in a confined hotel room is a serious health hazard. While the rooms might look "decent" at first glance, don't be fooled—the rats are everywhere behind the scenes. I’ve already reported this to the Hamilton County Health Department and Hilton Corporate. Save yourself the headache and the health risk: stay somewhere else in Downtown Chattanooga. This place needs to be shut down and professionally remediated. I’ve shared a few pictures;

Very awesome place to stay, our room was super clean smells amazing, I couldn’t find anything wrong with it, the bed slept great - just perfect - the whole hotel is a Smoke Free Zone, which I totally love. The Staff was Super friendly and helpful, even to help us find the best route to dinner and to the Hospital which I had a procedure the next early morning, they offered us a wake up call, we had our phones so there was no reason for them to wake up so early just to call us. If we have to stay overnight again We most definitely will stay at the Spark of Hilton Best Hotel we have ever stayed in. The Edwards Family
