Visited the site here during our visit out of nostalgia for what was the best boutique hotel in NOLA and the many happy memories we had here. No timeline in the foreseeable future for it to reopen, if ever.
We were lucky to score this place for our group of 10 to stay over Super Bowl LIX weekend. It had been reserved by some unlucky Bills fans but when they lost to Detroit it became available for our group who were Eagles Fans! Besides the fact that WE WON the other best thing about our trip was this house. Not only is the location fantastic being in a quiet neighborhood about 10 min walk to Bourbon Street but also the property itself gave our whole visit an extra NOLA kick. The property is a beautifully restored and maintained authenticc NOLA town home and it was a pleasure to come home to each night as it provided us fantastic accommodations both inside and out on the second floor outside covered porch. When we first arrived we were greeted by the house manager who gave us a brief tour
One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. I still reminisce on the freshly squeezed orange juice I’d drink in the stunning courtyard every morning. They also had phenomenal freshly baked croissants. My stay here was a few years ago, but I await my return. I know that the Soniat House is undergoing renovations right now, but prior each of the rooms were different with their own unique charm. I hope that they maintain this unique splendor. I still remember the fluffy kitty that lurked around the property too she was the cutest.
We stayed at the Soniat House for the first time, and simply put, it was perfect for us. It’s located in a residential part of the Quarter, but the main road does get a decent amount of traffic at all times, so don’t pick a room facing the street if you are a light sleeper. The rooms are a good size, well appointed with updated bathrooms all in a traditional style. The hotel is more like a wonderful private residence with a lovely courtyard, inviting common rooms, and continental breakfast served all day. The staff are very professional and are there promptly if you need them but are quietly out of the way. This is a quintessential NOLA experience which may not be for everyone, particularly those seeking more traditional hotel style amenities, such as a large bar or gym, etc. We look forwa
Our three night stay, at the Soniat House, was perfect. After a long day of travel, we were warmly greeted by the staff and made to feel at home. Our room had its own balcony where we sat and had breakfast (oh, I can still taste those hot biscuits) or a glass of wine. Our bed was very comfortable and cozy. We found the Soniat House to be quiet. The premises are pristine and inviting. The location is perfect for walking around the city. Being in the French quarter is a plus. What a great place to stay for our first trip to New Orleans. Thank yo7 to all the wonderful staff!
